I became a home inspector after more than two decades of hands-on experience repairing, maintaining, and improving homes for myself, family, and friends. My passion for how homes work started early—at 10 years old—while following my dad, a plumber and farmer, on his jobs. His advice has guided me ever since: “If you’re not going to do it right, then don’t do it at all.”
As the years went on, people began asking me to walk through houses they were thinking about buying and follow the home inspector "To make sure he doesn't miss something". I started thinking that might be a good business idea someday. Then a realtor friend of mine said to me one random Sunday afternoon, “You’d make a great home inspector”. I decided to take all these little hints and turn a lifelong passion into a profession.
Today, as the owner of On the Level Home Inspection, I bring honesty, thoroughness, and real-world building knowledge to every inspection. I evaluate each home with the same attention and care I would if I were buying it myself. If something is a concern, I’ll tell you clearly. If it’s nothing to stress about, I’ll tell you that too.
My goal is simple: to give you confidence in your home purchase through a detailed, reliable, on-the-level inspection.
I look forward to helping you make an informed decision.
